The invention discloses an assembly type reinforced concrete beam column connecting joint and a construction method thereof.The connecting joint comprises an upper connecting steel cylinder, a lower connecting steel cylinder, solid prefabricated columns and a structural beam, and the upper connecting steel cylinder and the lower connecting steel cylinder are fixed to the tail ends of column longitudinal rib throwing joint sections of the solid prefabricated columns on the upper side and the lower side of a beam column core area correspondingly; a steel hoop is arranged at the bottom of the lower connecting steel cylinder, the bottom end of the steel hoop is correspondingly arranged at the top end of the beam column core area, and openings of the upper connecting steel cylinder and the lower connecting steel cylinder are opposite and are welded and sealed at a seam; the upper connecting steel cylinder, the lower connecting steel cylinder, the steel hoop and the inner space of the beam column core area communicate with one another, and the communicating space is filled with concrete through a grouting assembly. The column longitudinal bars can be connected in a staggered mode in the beam column core area, one-by-one connection of the column longitudinal bars in the beam column core area with the narrow construction space is avoided, through arrangement of the column longitudinal bars in the beam column core area can be guaranteed, construction is convenient and efficient, and the connection quality is reliable.
