The invention relates to the technical field of bridge repair materials, and particularly discloses a special grouting material for treating bridgehead transition slab void and an application method thereof. The special grouting material for treating bridgehead transition slab void comprises the following components in parts by weight: 485-515 parts of cement, 485-515 parts of first-grade fly ash, 4-6 parts of a polycarboxylate superplasticizer, 8-12 parts of a calcium oxide expanding agent, 48-52 parts of a magnesium oxide expanding agent and 5.4-6.6 parts of a viscosity reducer, the viscosity reducer is a copolymer of at least two unsaturated monomers including polyethylene glycol maleate and methyl methacrylate. In the slurry prepared by the grouting material disclosed by the invention, the adsorption of the binding material particles to free water is reduced, and the peak value of water consumed by the expanding agent is delayed, so that the flowability of the slurry is improved, and the slurry can more sufficiently permeate in a roadbed soil layer at a void part; and improvement of the repairing effect on the roadbed soil layer of the void part is facilitated.
