The method comprises the steps that when it is detected that a vehicle door of a vehicle executes a stop action, a first component force of the gravity of the vehicle door in the axial direction of a vehicle door driver and a second component force of the gravity of the vehicle door in the hinge axis direction of the vehicle door are calculated; according to the first component force and the second component force, the clamping hovering force needed for stopping the vehicle door is calculated; an electromagnetic brake that controls a door actuator generates the clamping hover force. By the adoption of the method, the clamping hovering force generated by the electromagnetic brake can be closer to the clamping hovering force needed for stable stopping of the vehicle door, so that the shaking amplitude during stopping of the vehicle door is reduced, and the stopping stability of the vehicle door is improved.
