The invention discloses a self-adaptive stay cable diameter climbing deicing robot which comprises an outer frame and a base, the outer frame is vertically and detachably mounted on the base, a climbing driving structure is arranged in the outer frame and climbs in the extending direction of a cable, a cutting deicing structure is arranged on the front side of the outer frame in the extending direction of the cable, and the cutting deicing structure is connected with the base. The crawling driving structure comprises a first crawling pressing mechanism and a second crawling pressing mechanism which are symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the cable rope, the upper crawling pressing mechanism is arranged at the top end of the interior of the outer frame, and the lower crawling pressing mechanism is arranged on the base in a lifting mode; the cutting and deicing structure comprises a cutting adjusting mechanism arranged on the base in a sliding mode and a deicing cutter head mechanism arranged on the front side of the outer frame and surrounding the periphery of the cable, and the cutting adjusting mechanism is in transmission connection with the deicing cutter head mechanism. The cable deicing device can adapt to cables with different diameters and inclination angles, the distance between the cable deicing device and the cables can be automatically adjusted in the radial direction, and the better deicing effect is achieved.
