An omni-directional moving platform system for a strip mine comprises a transportation platform, a rotating mechanism and a walking mechanism, the rotating mechanism comprises a supporting bearing inner ring and a supporting bearing outer ring which are meshed with each other, the walking mechanism comprises an outer telescopic table and an inner telescopic table, and gear boxes and gear column combinations are arranged at the four corners of the transportation platform respectively. The bottom of the transportation platform is connected with an outer ring of a supporting bearing, an inner ring of the supporting bearing is connected with the top of an outer telescopic table, outer extending beams extending downwards are connected to the two sides of the outer telescopic table, the bottoms of the outer extending beams are connected with the top of an outer rack, and the bottom of the outer rack is meshed with the output end of a gear machine. The rear end of the gear machine is connected with the bottom of the inner telescopic table, the bottom of the inner telescopic table is connected with the tops of the multiple supporting oil cylinders, and the bottoms of the supporting oil cylinders are connected with the supporting feet.
