The invention provides a historical building repairing mortar material and a preparation method thereof. The repairing mortar material comprises a mixed gel material, aggregate, an additive and water, the mixed gel material comprises slaked lime, white cement, limestone powder, silica fume and metakaolin; the aggregate comprises river sand; the additives comprise silane, a novel-structure alcohol amine accelerator, an anti-mud agent and an expanding agent. The mixed gel material comprises 25-80 parts of slaked lime, 20-60 parts of white cement, 5-45 parts of limestone powder, 1-5 parts of silica fume and 2.5-10 parts of metakaolin. The mortar material for repairing the historical building belongs to an artificial hydraulic lime mortar repairing material, is moderate in bonding strength, rapid in early strength development and moderate in later strength, and is a repairing material which is good in compatibility with the historical building, close to the historical building in appearance and long in service time. And secondary damage to the historical building is not caused when the method is applied to historical building repair, and the requirement for reversibility of the historical building is met.
