The preparation method comprises the following steps: S1, mixing cement I, metakaolin I, a tungsten tailing dry material I, a polymer emulsion I, water I and a water reducing agent I, pressing, steaming and crushing to obtain aggregate; s2, mixing the aggregate prepared in the step S1, cement II, metakaolin II, tungsten tailing dry material II, polymer emulsion II, water II and water reducing agent II, and performing vibration pressing treatment; s3, the pressed product is subjected to steam curing treatment; the inorganic artificial stone is obtained. The inorganic artificial stone prepared by the method has low water absorption; the crushing value reaches a first-class crushing index; and under the condition that a large amount of tungsten tailing resources are used, the high breaking strength is achieved.
