The invention discloses a method for mounting a cantilever bailey truss under the condition of no heavy hoisting equipment. A plurality of metal sliding pads are sequentially mounted on a building floor slab structure at intervals in the bailey truss mounting direction; a plurality of bailey trusses are assembled above the metal sliding pads, inverted-U-shaped metal hoops are installed on the metal sliding pads away from the free face, external force is applied to the ends, away from the free face, of the bailey trusses, and the bailey trusses are pushed to move to the cantilever length in the free installation direction in sequence; and the bailey truss remaining on the metal sliding pad is anchored on the metal sliding pad through a fastener, and then installation is completed. According to the cantilever bailey truss installation method, the large bailey truss is installed on the free face on the floor structure in a sliding mode, the danger of high-altitude hoisting operation can be avoided, and meanwhile the problem of installation of the cantilever bailey truss under the condition that no heavy hoisting equipment exists can be effectively solved.
