The invention belongs to the technical field of engineering structure vibration control, and particularly relates to an inerter hysteresis damping type auxiliary cable which comprises an inerter hysteresis damping device, an auxiliary cable body and a connecting cable clamp assembly. The inerter hysteresis damping device is composed of an outer frame, a rubber damping element, an inner box, a ball screw, a rotating mass block and a connecting clamping piece. The auxiliary cable adopts a steel strand; the inerter hysteresis damping device is connected with the cable clamp through the rotating shaft and finally connected to the inhaul cable. According to the inerter hysteretic damping type auxiliary cable, the inerter hysteretic damping device adopts the form that the shearing type high-damping rubber damper is connected with the inerter in parallel. The high-damping rubber damper has the advantages of being large in rigidity, free of liquid substances and the like, and therefore the high-damping rubber damper can be combined with the auxiliary cable very easily. The inerter can achieve the displacement amplification effect, and additional damping provided by the damper can be effectively improved. The inertia hysteresis damping type auxiliary cable vibration reduction measure provided by the invention is expected to better realize the control on the wide-frequency-domain multi-mode vibration of the ultra-long stay cable.
