The invention relates to the technical field of buildings, and discloses a construction method of a prestressed pipe pile, which comprises the following steps of: measuring and placing a pile position in a to-be-constructed site; hoisting the tubular pile by using a pile machine, wherein the pile tip of the tubular pile is vertically aligned with the pile position and then is inserted into soil; after a pile pad is placed on the top of the pile, a pile cap is arranged in a sleeving mode, the center line of the pile cap coincides with the center line of the pile body of the tubular pile, and a hammer pad is placed on the pile cap; after the hammer pad is placed, cold hammering is carried out for 2-3 times to enable the pipe pile to be buried into the soil to be fixed in position, the perpendicularity of the pipe pile is checked, the perpendicularity deviation of the pipe pile is not larger than 1% of the pile length of the pipe pile, piling is carried out after the perpendicularity of the pipe pile is checked, and the inclination rate of a pile body is not larger than 0.8%; and when the tubular pile is driven to a preset supporting layer or reaches a preset penetration value, the hammer can be retracted. According to the construction mode provided by the embodiment of the invention, the construction difficulty is reduced, and the bearing capacity of the pipe pile is improved.
