The invention provides a construction method for constructing a gateway in a limited space of an underpass bridge. The construction method comprises the following steps: S1, setting a proper construction position; s2, marking a routing path, a construction starting point and a construction ending point of the gateway; s3, construction of a first cast-in-place pile is conducted; s4, the first cast-in-place piles on the two sides are connected and fixed through a positioning frame; s5, the first digging pits and the second digging pits are dug, and meanwhile the second digging pits are formed in the two sides of the direction of the gateway; s6, construction of a third digging pit is conducted at the same time, and the first digging pit, the second digging pit and the third digging pit are arranged in a stepped mode; s7, excavation is continued; s8, circulating the steps S3-S6 until a second foundation pit body is formed; s9, construction of a third cast-in-place pile is completed; s10, forming a first communicating foundation pit; s11, the steps S3-S10 are repeated until the second communication foundation pit and the continuous row cast-in-place piles are completed; and S12, formwork erecting, pouring and filling are conducted, and a design target pit is formed. Construction is efficient, the overall construction efficiency can be greatly improved, and operation safety is guaranteed.
