The invention discloses conductive mortar and a preparation method thereof. The conductive mortar comprises the following components in parts by mass: 40-60 parts of metakaolin, 15-30 parts of steel slag, 20-35 parts of carbide slag, 0-10 parts of gypsum, 50-100 parts of spontaneous combustion coal gangue, 35-50 parts of an electrolyte solution, 0-1 part of an exciting agent, 0.5-1 part of a water-retaining agent and 0.5-2 parts of a water reducing agent. According to the conductive mortar, expensive conductive materials are not used, the mortar resistance is reduced through simple and easily available materials, the conductive mortar is prepared, the cost is reduced, and the conductive stability of the materials is improved.
