The invention discloses a method for preparing sulfuric acid and co-producing lime through microwave decomposition of waste gypsum, which comprises the following steps: mixing and homogenizing the waste gypsum and a silicon-aluminum material containing Fe2O3 to prepare a blank, feeding the blank into a microwave decomposition furnace to be calcined and decomposed to obtain high-activity CaO solid residues, and separating and absorbing generated SO3-containing flue gas to prepare sulfuric acid; the method has low requirements on waste gypsum raw materials, basically has no requirements on components in the waste gypsum raw materials, and does not need any pretreatment on the waste gypsum, so that the utilization range of the waste gypsum is expanded; the SO3 in the obtained furnace gas has high purity and high concentration, and can be easily separated and absorbed to prepare sulfuric acid; the residual solid slag is high-activity CaO and can be used for steelmaking slag formers, cement production or other metallurgy and silicate, food and chemical industries.
