The invention provides a construction method for building an underground comprehensive pipe gallery based on an external mold system in a modular mold, and relates to the technical field of building construction. The construction method comprises the following steps that firstly, a construction plane is determined, and a foundation pit is excavated on the construction plane; secondly, two positioning and tensioning devices are embedded in the bottom of the foundation pit in a segmented mode, and after a pipe gallery outer diameter positioning pile is implanted into the inner side of any positioning and tensioning device, pipe gallery cushion layer pouring is conducted; step 3, selecting two box-shaped outer molds adaptive to the depth of the foundation pit, and respectively connecting the two box-shaped outer molds to the two positioning and tensioning devices; fourthly, a positioning rib plate is vertically installed on the outer side of any box-shaped outer mold, and the bottom end of the positioning rib plate is connected with the pipe gallery cushion layer and the box-shaped outer mold at the same time; and fifthly, a positioning connecting frame for connecting the two box-shaped outer molds is installed on the tops of the two box-shaped outer molds, and the tops of the positioning rib plates are connected to the tops of the positioning connecting frame and the box-shaped outer molds.
