The invention provides a tail part which can be connected to a water supply device. The tail part comprises a hot water inlet, a cold water inlet and an outlet; one or more channels configured to be fluidly and sealingly connected to the respective one or more couplings of the mixer cartridge by one or more sealing means, the one or more sealing means being received in each of the one or more channels, the mixer cartridge is configured to mix hot water received by the respective hot and cold water inlets with cold water, and the sealing device is configured to seal the mixer cartridge when one or more couplings are received in a push fitting manner into respective ones of the channels. The tail is sealingly connected to the mixer cartridge and releasably retains the mixer cartridge relative to the tail. The invention further provides a mixer barrel, a pipeline assembly and a method for installing the pipeline assembly.
