A pipe assembly 1 conveys water from a mains water pipe to a tap, the pipe assembly comprises a flexible corrugated pipe 3 with first and second ends. The pipe is formed from stainless-steel. The assembly further comprises a first connector 5 attached to the first end of the corrugated pipe, which connects the corrugated pipe to the mains water pipe, and a second connector 7 attached to the second end of the corrugated pipe, which connects the corrugated pipe to the tap. The pipe can be manually deformable to change from a first shape to a second shape and the pipe self-maintains the first and second shapes. The pipe can include a plurality of evenly distributed, annular ribs which are transverse to a central longitudinal axis of the pipe, distributed along at least part of the length of the pipe. The pipe can comprise an outer sleeve overlying at least part of the length of the pipe, this sleeve optionally being made of plastic, for instance a thermoplastic such as polyvinylchloride (PVC).
