The invention discloses an ecological restoration method for an artificial protection abrupt slope, which aims at solving the problems of slope hardening, lack of ecological environment site conditions and ecological landscape disappearance caused by artificial excavation of a rock abrupt slope adopting an anchor cable lattice and a sprayed concrete protective surface, and utilizes a high slope toe zone and an area on a slope where green plants and landscapes can be carried out to realize ecological restoration of the artificial protection abrupt slope. Performing ecological restoration by combining three dimensions of points, lines and surfaces, and respectively providing targeted ecological restoration methods for different morphological conditions of different parts of the slope; through construction of an ecological system at the positions such as a steep slope platform, steps and a side slope, the landscape effect and ornamental value of the surrounding environment are improved while the ecological landscape is restored, a brand-new solution is provided for ecological restoration of an artificial protection steep slope, and the method is worthy of popularization and application. The method can be widely applied to ecological restoration projects such as surface mine mining, highway and railway construction and municipal mountain greening.
