The refractory castable comprises a main material and an additive, the main materials comprise the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 60%-75% of corundum, 10%-30% of silicon carbide, 2%-6% of alpha-Al2O3 micro powder, 1%-5% of SiO2 micro powder, 1%-4% of calcium aluminate cement, 0.5%-1% of monatomic silicon powder and 0.5%-1.5% of spherical asphalt; the additive comprises modified carbon fibers and a water reducing agent. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the blast furnace tapping channel refractory castable. The refractory castable for the blast furnace tapping channel has excellent high-temperature-resistant mechanical property, thermal shock resistance and erosion resistance, the service life of the castable can be effectively prolonged, and the production efficiency of cast iron is improved.
