Pinion and rack type self-resetting eddy current damper
The invention belongs to the technical field of civil engineering structure damping, and relates to a gear and rack type self-resetting eddy current damper which comprises a protection cover, at least one set of permanent magnets, a piston rod, a gear, a conductor rotating disc and a pressed spring. The piston rod is inserted into the protective cover and meshed with a gear rotationally installed in the protective cover, the piston rod is movably connected with the protective cover so that the piston rod can move in the axial direction of the piston rod, and a piston rod connecting piece used for being connected with an external controlled structure is arranged at the end, away from the protective cover, of the piston rod. The conductor turntable is fixedly connected to the gear to rotate along with the gear and cut magnetic induction lines to form an eddy current damping effect, and the size of the conductor turntable is at least 10 times that of the gear; the two compressed springs are installed between the two ends of the protective cover and the piston rod respectively so that the piston rod can have elastic restoring force in the direction opposite to the movement direction.
