The invention relates to the technical field of ocean platforms, in particular to a pile leg modification and construction method which comprises the following steps: modifying an original pile leg: integrally disassembling the original pile leg from a platform, and cutting the original pile leg into two sections to form a first branch pile leg and a second branch pile leg; the first branch pile leg and the second branch pile leg are both fixed to the jig frame; inclined pipes which are not reserved on the first branch pile leg and the second branch pile leg are removed; transformation of the first branch pile leg and the second branch pile leg is completed; extension pile legs are manufactured, specifically, extension main side pipes are arranged on the jig frame according to the needed length, and the extension main side pipes are positioned; a plurality of second supporting and reinforcing structures are welded and installed between the adjacent extended main side pipes, and manufacturing of the extended pile leg is completed; the first branch pile leg, the second branch pile leg and the extension pile leg are welded, and modification construction of the pile leg is completed. The production cost can be reduced, the material consumption is reduced, the manufacturing period is shortened, and the construction difficulty is reduced.
