The invention discloses an on-site installation and construction method for a large-span composite string truss. The technical problem that a traditional on-site installation and construction method for the large-span truss is not suitable for on-site installation and construction of the fusiform large-span composite string truss is solved. According to the method, finite element simulation calculation analysis is firstly adopted to accurately simulate displacement and internal force of the large-span composite string truss in each stage in the tensioning process; and the configuration of the assembly bracket relative to the cable structure and the large-span composite string truss structure is accurately positioned in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction, so that the construction of the prestressed cable of the large-span composite string truss reaches the design form. The method is scientific and reasonable in design, finite element simulation calculation analysis is adopted, displacement and internal force of the truss in all stages in the tensioning process are accurately simulated, the configuration of the assembly support relative to the cable structure and the truss structure is accurately positioned in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction, and therefore large-span composite string truss prestress inhaul cable construction reaches the design form.
