The graphite bearing includes 78-98 mass% of carbon including spherical graphite and a carbon component in an uncarbonized resin, 12-2 mass% of volatile components in the resin, and 10-0 mass% of components other than carbon and volatile components. In addition, the total of the carbon, the volatile component, and the components other than the carbon and the volatile component is set to 100 mass%. The graphite bearing can be manufactured through a net shape or a near net shape, and treatment such as resin infiltration and metal infiltration is not needed. The graphite bearing has few cracks when pressed into a housing, and has high radial strength.
石墨轴承包含：78质量％以上且98质量％以下的包含球状石墨及未碳化树脂中的碳成分的碳、12质量％以下且2质量％以上的所述树脂中的挥发成分、以及10质量％以下且0质量％以上的除碳和挥发成分以外的成分。另外，将碳、挥发成分以及除碳和挥发成分以外的成分的合计设定为100质量％。能够通过净形或近净形制造石墨轴承，不需要树脂浸渗及金属浸渗等处理。石墨轴承向壳体压入时的裂纹少，且径向强度高。
