Apparatus and method for removing particulate material
The invention relates to a device for removing granular material by suction, comprising a suction head (1). The tip (1) comprises a lower end (1a), an outlet (1b) for removing granular material from the tip (1), and a side wall (1c) extending from the lower end (1a) to the outlet (1b). The tip (1) further comprises one or more nozzles configured to spray a pressurized fluid for fluidizing the particulate material and one or more side inlets (1d) for flowing the fluidized particulate material into the tip (1). One or more side inlets (1d) are located in the side wall (1c), and the combined one or more side inlets (1d) extend over at least 2% of the perimeter of the lower end (1a). The invention also relates to a method for removing particulate material from a stack of particulate material by suction. The nozzle located outside the tip and the nozzle located inside the tip are configured to provide a spiral flow in the same direction.
