The preparation method comprises the following steps: S1, extracting natural bamboo fibers; s2, carrying out alkali treatment on the natural bamboo fibers and adding a silicon source; s3, acidizing the treating fluid; s4, preparing natural bamboo fiber wet gel through catalysis of alkali liquor; s5, wet gel solvent replacement, aging and hydrophobic modification; and S6, drying the wet gel to prepare the aerogel. The natural bamboo fiber reinforced silicon dioxide aerogel prepared by the preparation method disclosed by the invention has relatively high bending strength, strong deformation resistance and relatively large sound insulation index, and has a wide application prospect in the field of sound absorption materials.
