The invention discloses a maintenance device and method for a thin-wall hollow high pier. The maintenance device and method are used for maintaining a previous section when a next section is constructed through a creeping formwork. Comprising a control system, winches distributed on a lower platform of a creeping formwork, an annular water tank surrounding a pier body in an annular space, a water collecting tank attached to the bottom of the pier body in a surrounding mode, a water storage tank and internal temperature detection pieces distributed and embedded in the pier body, and limiting wheels, spray heads and surface temperature and humidity detection pieces are distributed and installed on the annular water tank. The annular water tank is connected with a winch through a lifting rope along the line; the limiting wheels are matched to prevent the annular water tank from shaking during lifting; the water outlet end of the water storage tank is connected with the annular water tank through the circulating pump; the control system is used for controlling the spraying time and flow and the lifting speed of the annular water tank according to feedback of the internal temperature detection part and the surface temperature and humidity detection part.
