The invention provides a sound barrier wood-plastic composite material. The sound barrier wood-plastic composite material comprises a core layer and noise absorption layers wrapping the upper surface and the lower surface of the core layer. The noise absorbing layer is prepared from the following raw materials: 2000 to 3000 parts of polyolefin elastomer, 10 to 1000 parts of wood flour, 200 to 500 parts of maleic anhydride grafted POE, 500 to 800 parts of calcium carbonate, 0.5 to 1 part of coupling agent, 10 to 20 parts of anti-ultraviolet agent, 40 to 60 parts of toner, 1 to 2 parts of flow line agent and 1 to 2 parts of mildew preventive; the core layer comprises the following raw materials: 30-45 parts of recycled waste polyethylene, 20-30 parts of wood flour, 3-6 parts of maleic anhydride grafted POE, 3-5 parts of a coupling agent, 0.5-1 part of an antioxidant, 125-155 parts of a flame retardant and 1-2 parts of a lubricant. The invention also provides a preparation method and application of the wood-plastic composite material. The wood-plastic composite material has the advantages of light weight, high hardness, excellent sound insulation effect and the like.
