The invention discloses a silicon carbide fiber sintered ceramic and a preparation method thereof, the silicon carbide fiber sintered ceramic comprises hexagonal prism-shaped silicon carbide fibers and a graphite interface layer, the graphite layer is uniformly filled in the hexagonal prism-shaped silicon carbide fibers, and the graphite layer and the hexagonal prism-shaped silicon carbide fibers form a completely compact structure. The preparation method mainly comprises the following two steps: firstly, preparing a graphite interface layer on the surface of the silicon carbide fiber through an in-situ synthesis technology; and laying the silicon carbide fiber with the graphite layer in a graphite mold, and carrying out hot pressed sintering in an inert atmosphere to finally obtain the silicon carbide fiber sintered ceramic. The silicon carbide fiber sintered ceramic has the characteristics of high fiber content, high density, high strength and the like, and the preparation method has the characteristics of simple and controllable process, low cost and the like, and has a wide development prospect.
