According to the method, the problems that in the preparation process of the barium titanate powder, the powder is prone to agglomerate, crystal grains are prone to excessively grow, and the crystal grains are not distributed are solved in a two-step PVP adding mode, gas can be generated in the calcination process of PVP, agglomeration of barium titanate particles is further hindered, and the particle size of the barium titanate powder is reduced. Therefore, the barium titanate powder which is good in dispersity, narrow in particle size distribution and high in tetragonal phase proportion is obtained, and the raw material requirements of high-end MLCC products are met.
