A connector (60) passes through an opening of a receiving or support face (61) or meshes with the receiving or support face. An arm (50v) of a reinforcing bracket (50) is stretchable with the connector in a direction of the receiving or support face, so that the reinforcing bracket comes in contact with a folding area (F) between a fixed frame (BR) and the sliding panel and is arranged at a corner region (E) of the panel. An independent claim is also included for a method for transferring the weight of a sliding panel to a corner region.
