FENDER DEVICE
Provided is a fender device to be attached to a berthing face alongside which a marine vessel comes. The fender device includes an impact receiving member configured to come into contact with the marine vessel, a buffer member, and a stopper. The buffer member is arranged between the impact receiving member and the berthing face, is made of an elastic material, and is capable of undergoing compressive deformation in a normal direction orthogonal to the berthing face. The stopper includes a stopper main body. The stopper main body is arranged between the impact receiving member and the berthing face so as to extend in the normal direction in order to prevent excessive compression of the buffer member. A cavity is formed inside the stopper main body. It should be noted that "extending in a normal direction" described herein includes extending in parallel with the normal direction or substantially in parallel with the normal direction as well as extending obliquely with respect to the normal direction.
