An adjustable under floor vent 1 has a tubular central duct 6, which is adjustable in length, with two end nozzles 7a,7b aligned at right angles to the central conduit, facing in different directions to each other, it can be used to provide ventilation underneath suspended floors through a brick wall. Preferably the central section is formed from a number of concentric pipes 2,3 which can be telescopically adjusted; there may be beads 4 or bumps formed on the outside of one of the pipes which connect with hollows in the interior surface of an adjacent pipe which can lock the vent at a number of lengths spaced 15mm apart. The central duct may have two parts, each with an integrated nozzle facing in an opposite direction to the other, be made from plastic, have a rectangular cross-section and internal webbing (fig.7,10) for stiffening.
