Restrictor assembly
A restrictor assembly has a first member 1, defining a track (fig.1,2); a second member 17, mounted to slide along the track; and a third member 18; the assembly has two configurations, when the second member is moved into first predetermined track position, it is held from sliding in one direction, when moved to a second predetermined position it is held from sliding in either direction. Preferably the second or third members have projecting formations 19A,19B,19C which engage with first member recesses 15. The two predetermined positions may be adjacent or coincident, and the assembly is converted between configurations by removing the third member 18 from the assembly or by altering the interaction of the third member on the second member 17, by rotating it, for example. The sliding prevention may be overridden by an operator by pressing the second member 17 into the track against a resilient bias. The restrictor assembly may have window linkage member (fig.1,5,7), and be used in a pivoting or sliding window assembly where the restrictor is mechanically separate from the mounting system of the window in its frame.
