Improved syphon
The syphon 100 comprises a pumping chamber 50 having an outlet 54, and a reservoir 10 having a drain 20 with an exit 22, wherein the reservoir comprises an openable inlet to the outlet of the pumping chamber and the extent of the exit is variable. The exit may be located on a base of the reservoir and be discretely or infinitely variable. A slidable door 24 may vary the extent of the exit. The door may have a gripping portion 26 with tactile or visual markings. The drain and door may have corresponding notches and protrusions 25 to hold the door. The reservoir may be integral with or removably coupled to the pumping chamber. The exit may be openable to the exterior of the pumping chamber. Also claimed are a door and a reservoir for use with the syphon. Adjusting the position of the door over the exit alters when syphonic flow is cut off.
