Cable restrictor
A cable restrictor, e.g. to releasable limit the opening of a window, comprises a flexible cable 18 having a first end connected to a first housing 20, a second end of the cable having a fixing part (24) for insertion into a recess 26 of a second housing 22. The second housing has locking means 40 including a lock sleeve 54 rotatable between a locked position in which it blocks the recess opening and an unlocked position. The lock sleeve preferably includes a cylinder lock, and the longitudinal axis of the fixing part may be coincident with the rotational axes of the cylinder lock and sleeve. The fixing part may be inserted laterally into the housing in a direction perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the sleeve; the sleeve may include aperture 70 with narrowed lower portion 64 to accommodate an enlarged head 72 and reduced diameter neck 66 of the fixing part. The recess 26 may extend on the side and bottom faces of housing 22.
