A decking board 1 having an elongate main body 5 with a primary surface forming part of a top face 3 of the board, with at least one longitudinally extending channel 9 formed in the primary surface, the board comprising a cover 13 for the channel. The channels is at least 30mm in width. The boards can be used for assembling balconies on buildings, where a high load capacity eye bolt (29, Fig. 7) for a crane can be attached to the balcony structure through the 30mm wide channel so that then entire prefabricated structure can be lifted into place, the covers 13 being fitted after installation. The covers may have deflectable resiliently flexible leg portions (17) having hook portions (19) for engaging with protrusions (21) on the side wall of the channels, for allowing a snap fit releasable engagement to clip the covers in place. The board may be an aluminium extrusion. Channels may include grooves for indicating the position for hole drilling.
