A reinforced door panel and method of manufacturing same
A reinforced panel or sheet is disclosed. It has a wire mesh 2 sandwiched between first 1 and second 1 sheets which are bonded together. The wire mesh is embedded in each of the sheets so that overall thickness of the panel is the thickness of the first sheet plus the thickness of the second sheet. The sheets may be made from timber or wood and the wire mesh may be made from metal. The sheets may be bonded with a glue or adhesive. A door comprising the panel is also disclosed, the door comprising a door core 3 and sandwiched on a front and rear face by a first and second panel described above. A method of manufacturing the door panel and a door made from said door panel is also disclosed.
