PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically feasible and appropriately base-isolated structure.SOLUTION: In a base-isolated structure 10 having a structure 20 that is base-isolated by a passive base isolator 30, the structure 20 includes an actively base-isolated space 24 that is base-isolated by an active base isolator 40, and a substructure 22 is, for example, a multi-story structure (four stories in an embodiment of the invention; needless to say, a building with one story above ground is acceptable), and supported on a ground G via the passive base isolator 30.
