NIPPING DETECTION DEVICE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nipping detection device capable of easily assembling, and capable of restraining reduction in detection sensitivity of nipping foreign matter.SOLUTION: A nipping detection device 10 detects the fact of nipping foreign matter between an opening-closing member for opening-closing an opening part and a frame member for surrounding the opening part. The nipping detection device 10 comprises a sensor 20 formed in a long size shape, presenting a circular shape in an external shape of a cross section vertical to the longitudinal direction and capable of detecting that external force in the parallel direction to the radial direction in the cross section acts on an outer peripheral surface, a holding part 31 formed in a long size shape out of an elastic material, inserting the sensor 20 and having an insertion hole IH for holding the sensor 20, that is, the holding part 31 presenting a circular shape on the inner peripheral edge of the insertion hole IH in the cross section vertical to the longitudinal direction and having its inner diameter being an outer diameter or less of the sensor 20 and a support member 30 having an installation part 32 for installing the holding part 31 in the opening-closing member or the frame member, and the holding part 31 comprises groove parts Ga and Gb extending in the central axis direction of the insertion hole IH.
