PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular nipping prevention device for stably operating while improving detection sensitivity of foreign matter.SOLUTION: A vehicular nipping prevention device comprises a motor 2 for liftably driving window glass 3, electrodes 4a-4e provided along the upper edge of the window glass and divided into at least three, a capacitance detection circuit 5 for detecting capacitance of the respective electrodes, a threshold value setting part for respectively setting a threshold value for determining an increase in the capacitance of the respective electrodes and a motor control part 1 for controlling the window glass 3 in operation except for lifting operation when the capacitance of at least one electrode among the respective electrodes exceeds the corresponding respective threshold values.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
