ONE-END SEALED TYPE CYLINDRICAL CERAMIC
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-end sealed type cylindrical ceramic which suppresses a deterioration in separation performance of a separation membrane filter.SOLUTION: With a one-end sealed type cylindrical ceramic 10, a dense glass layer 18 is formed on the outside surface of a sealing part 14 anchored on one-side opening of a cylindrical part 12 of a porous ceramic substrate 16 to seal the opening with the formation of a projection 20 having a fracture surface the surface structure of which is different from that of the cylindrical part 12. This configuration enables a defect-free uniform separation membrane to be formed on the surface of the one-end sealed type cylindrical ceramic 10, thereby suppressing a significant deterioration in separation performance due to the generation of local leaks of the separation membrane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】分離膜フィルターの分離性能の劣化を抑制する片端封止型筒状セラミックスを提供する。【解決手段】片端封止型筒状セラミックス１０によれば、多孔質セラミック基材１６の円筒部１２の片側の開口に固着されて開口を封止し、円筒部１２に対して表面構造が異なる破断面を有する突起２０が形成された封止部１４の外側表面に緻密なガラス層１８が形成されている。このため、片端封止型筒状セラミックス１０の表面に欠陥のない均一な分離膜を形成することが可能となり、局部的な分離膜のリークなどの発生による分離膜フィルターの著しい分離性能の劣化を抑制することが可能となる。【選択図】図２
