PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite fiber capable of being suitably used as a reinforcement material for hydraulic material or the like and exhibiting good dispersibility in a water-based material and high adhesive strength to a counterpart dispersed and contained.SOLUTION: There is provided a composite fiber containing an ethylene-vinyl ester-based copolymer saponified article (A) and a water soluble resin (B) and having a sea-island structure by the (A) and the (B) formed on at least a fiber surface and percentage of area of an island component with aspect ratio of a fiber surface of 10 or less to the total area of the island component of the fiber surface of 50% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】水硬性材料用補強材等として好適に用いることのできる、水系材料中での良好な分散性とこれを分散含有させる相手に対する高い接着強度を発揮しうる複合繊維を提供する。【解決手段】エチレン−ビニルエステル系共重合体ケン化物（Ａ）と水溶性樹脂（Ｂ）とを含有してなる複合繊維であり、少なくとも繊維表面において上記（Ａ）、（Ｂ）による海島構造が形成されており、繊維表面の島成分の全面積に対する、繊維表面のアスペクト比１０以下の島成分の面積の割合が、５０％以上である【選択図】図１
