PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth retaining wall support structure and an earth retaining wall support method, which enable an earth retaining wall to reliably behave in one with a buttress constructed on the rear face thereof when lateral pressure of the ground is applied thereto, and can economically and efficiently support the earth retaining wall regardless of ground conditions.SOLUTION: An earth retaining wall support structure comprises: a buttress which is a ground improvement body constructed orthogonal to an earth retaining wall and connected to a rear face thereof; a core material installed at a ground side edge section of the buttress; and a tendon which connects head sections of the core material and head section of the earth retaining wall.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
