PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting hydration heat generation of a hydraulic composition, which inhibits temperature rise when the hydraulic composition and water are contacted without delay of time reaching maximum temperature.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for inhibiting hydration heat generation of a hydraulic composition, including: containing the following (A) component of 0.2 pts.mass to 4 pts.mass, as amount of the (A) component, based on 100 pts.mass of the hydraulic composition in the hydraulic composition containing water and a hydraulic powder body; and containing the (A) component in the hydraulic composition as a liquid or by using a liquid article containing the (A) component. (A) component is an ester compound of bi to penta valent polyvalent alcohol and saturated aliphatic acid having 8 to 16 carbon atoms or unsaturated aliphatic acid having 18 carbon atoms, having HLB of 1 to 9.SELECTED DRAWING: None
