To rotate a water wheel with the water flow of a water channel, and catch and discharge dust flowing through the water channel with a rotational force.SOLUTION: A hydraulically-driven dust removal device comprises: a water wheel 10 rotating with a water flow F of a water channel C; a power transmission plate 30 provided on a downstream side of the water wheel 10 and rotated around a shaft 31 via an interlocking member 20 by a rotational force of the water wheel 10; a bar screen 40 provided in the water channel C on the downstream side of the power transmission plate 30 and formed with a plurality of slits 41 for receiving dust; a scraping machine 50 provided so as to be movable upward and downward on an upstream side close to the bar screen 40 and having a claw portion 51 which enters the slits 41 and puts up dust on it; and a wire 70 having one end connected to an end of the power transmission plate 30 and the other end connected to the scraping machine 50 via a pulley 60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
