To provide a foundation structure which is excellent in pull-out strength and is also excellent in economic efficiency and workability compared to the conventional one, and to provide a construction method of the foundation structure.SOLUTION: A foundation structure includes: a foundation body part 1 formed of a footing foundation constructed by open-cut of a ground G; a backfilled part 2 formed by filling an open-cut space H of the ground G with a backfilling material; and a breakage line progression suppression part 3 interposed between the ground G and the backfilled part 2 so that the ground G and the backfilled part 2 are edge-cut by covering an excavation surface G1 of the ground G, and suppressing the progress of the breakage line to the backfilled part 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
