To provide a traffic signal light snow melting unit capable of inhibiting disappearance of a snow melting effect derived from disconnection, being disposed on an existing traffic signal light owing to the simple mechanism, and suppressing power consumption necessary to actuate the unit.SOLUTION: A traffic signal light snow melting unit A includes a heater 14 that is attached to a traffic signal light 111 in order to dissipate heat. The heater 14 has plural conducting channels 143 formed between both electrodes. The heater 14 is attached to the traffic signal light 111 having a light emitting diode as a light source. The heater 14 is secured while being interposed between two layered rectangular transparent plates 13 and 16. The traffic signal light snow melting unit further includes a controller 21 that controls heat dissipation by controlling electric conduction to the heater 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
