To provide a forming method of an underground space capable of easily forming an underground space for investigating and repairing an underground installation.SOLUTION: An underground space 29 for investigating and repairing a foundation pile 3 is formed by: a step of performing a ground improvement of a ground 1 under a slab 7 by using a rod that is made to pass the slab 7 and forming a ground improvement body 25 around the foundation pile 3; a step of forming a hole 27 into which a man enter in the slab 7; and a step of drilling the ground 1 under the slab 7 via the hole 27 and forming the underground space 29 whose side face is surrounded by the ground improvement body 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

【課題】地下埋設物の調査や補修のための地下空間を容易に形成できる地下空間の形成方法等を提供する。【解決手段】スラブ７に通したロッドを用いてスラブ７下の地盤１の地盤改良を行い、基礎杭３の周囲に地盤改良体２５を形成する工程と、人が入るための孔２７をスラブ７に形成する工程と、孔２７を介してスラブ７下の地盤１の掘削を行い、側面が地盤改良体２５で囲まれた地下空間２９を形成する工程と、により基礎杭３の調査や補修を行うための地下空間２９を形成する。【選択図】図１
