To provide a base member for a road protection fence, a road protection fence and a construction method thereof with very excellent workability, economic efficiency, and global environmental friendliness by realizing the base member for the road protection fence that can solve the conventional foundation problems at once.SOLUTION: A base member 1 is provided with a hollow portion 1a for receiving the support, and is a concrete structure, a fiber-reinforced plastic structure, a joint structure of steel and concrete, or a joint structure of steel and fiber-reinforced plastic, which is formed into a long wall shape in the direction of road extension, and is configured to be able to be buried underground by a driving machine. 【課題】従来の基礎に関する課題を一度に解決できる道路用防護柵の基礎部材を実現することにより、作業性、経済性、および地球環境性に非常に優れた道路用防護柵の基礎部材及び道路用防護柵並びにその構築工法を提供する。【解決手段】基礎部材１は、前記支柱を受け入れる中空部１ａを備え、かつ道路延長方向に長い壁状に形成されたコンクリート構造、繊維強化プラスチック構造、鋼材とコンクリートとの結合構造、又は鋼材と繊維強化プラスチックとの結合構造であり、打込機により地中に埋設可能な構成である。前記中空部１ａは、前記壁状の基礎部材１の長手方向中央部に設けられている。【選択図】図１
