To provide a head cover for a steel pipe pile which can engage with and is easily attached to an inner face of a steel pipe pile tightly and stably.SOLUTION: A head cover 12 put on a head portion of an installed steel pipe pile comprises: a circular plate 13 covering a head opening of the steel pipe pile; and two elastic engagement members 14 made of a steel plate which have a fixing portion 15 welded to be fixed to a rear face side of the circular plate 13 and which are in a pipe diameter direction in an example shown in a figure. Each elastic engagement member 14 comprises an outwardly downward folded-shaped portion 16 comprising a slope portion 16a, and an outwardly downward folded portion 16b which is folded from a tip of the slope portion outwardly downwardly in a circular plate diameter direction, and can be elastically in contact with a pipe inner wall at a tip portion 16d of the outwardly downward folded portion 16b, that is, can engage with an inner face of the steel pipe pile at the outwardly downward folded portion 16b which can elastically deform and be in contact with the pipe inner wall, tightly and stably. Since an elastic deformation range of the outwardly downward folded-shaped portion 16 is wide, tight engagement can be secured even with a steel pipe pile with the same diameter and different plate thickness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
【課題】鋼管杭の内面に緊密にかつ安定して嵌合可能、かつ取り付け容易な鋼管杭用の頭部蓋を提供する。【解決手段】打設した鋼管杭の頭部に被せる頭部蓋12である。鋼管杭の頭部開口を覆う円形板13と、この円形板13の裏面側に溶接固定された固定部15を持つ鋼板製の図示例では管直径方向の2つの弾性嵌合部材14とを備えている。各弾性嵌合部材14は傾斜部16aとこの傾斜部の先端から円形板半径方向外方の下向きに折り返された外側下向き折り返し部16bとからなる外側下向きの折り返し形状部16を備え、その外側下向き折り返し部16bの先端部16dにて管内壁に弾性接触可能である。弾性変形して管内壁に接触可能な外側下向き折り返し部16bにて鋼管杭の内面に緊密にかつ安定して嵌合可能である。外側下向き折り返し形状部16aの弾性変形範囲は広いので、外径が同一で板厚が異なる鋼管杭に対しても緊密な嵌合を確保できる。【選択図】図8
