To provide a drain pile that has a simple structure and is manufactured at low cost, and has high earth inflow prevention effect, and resists being clogged with earth.SOLUTION: A tubular drain pile 1 is embedded in subsoil, and has a pile body 10 having at least one water absorption hole 14 on a peripheral wall part 12, and a filter member 30 for preventing inflow of earth. A water conduction part 38 of the filter member 30 is provided with a mesh member 36. The filter member 30 is fitted into the water absorption hole 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
